This idea comes directly from my daughter who loves to fiddle around with found objects. It would be lovely to make a butterfly garden all around the house in Spring with these.
Fold paper and cut various butterfly wings (just one half so that when you open it you have a perfect butterfly); color the wings; now cut a few slits into the middle fold and slide in the toothpick.
Try making other creatures too.
